Cost Plus will be moving to Alameda from Oakland

OAKLAND -- Cost Plus World Markets said Wednesday it will relocate its headquarters and hundreds of jobs to Alameda from Oakland, which is becoming more crowded for office tenants, especially downtown.
About 400 Cost Plus workers will move to the new headquarters location at Marina Village business park in Alameda, said Jill Osaka, a spokeswoman for the specialty retailer.
"As Cost Plus grows and opens new stores, we have found the need to increase our office space," Osaka said.
